Celebrating Diwali in Class 16

Class 16 had a busy week celebrating Diwali. They listened very carefully to the story of Rama and Sita to understand why Hindu’s call it the festival of light. Class 16 knew that Hindu’s clean in preparation for Diwali so cleaned lots of dishes. They enjoyed sharing stories in our lift-the-flap Diwali book and finding the correct symbols in the rice tray. Class 16 spotted the sounds fireworks made and sprayed them using our spray bottles. Our favourite part was putting on a puppet show for all of our friends to tell the story of Rama and Sita.
