Extension of Prosper Learning Trust Nil Charge for Meals
The Trustees have decided to extend the Trusts nil charge initiative for school meals up to and including the last day of term on Thursday 22nd December 2023.
However we would still encourage all families who may be entitled to free school meals for their children to continue to claim these during this period, because as well as being a benefit to the pupils, it also ensures that our schools receive the additional income from the Government to help provide support and resources. If you believe you may be entitled and do not yet receive free school meals, please complete the form on the Newcastle City Council website:
Costs of School Meals
The costs for our school meals are as follows:
£2.10 for nursery schools, £2.20 for primary schools, and £2.30 for special schools.
In secondary schools, meals cost £2.30 and there is also a selection of meal deals and other options available.
