An informal support group for families with SEND children of all ages.
We offer low level support before, during or after diagnosis.
Come along for a chat and a cup of tea.
Stay and play is also available for any SEND children under school age.
1.30-3pm Thursdays @ Charlton Street family hub.
10-11:30am Fridays @ Galafield Family Centre.
A family partner and family practitioner will be on hand during the session for guidance.
Children and Families Newcastle alongside Action for children aim to provide a supportive group for SEND parents of children aged 0-19.
Our aim is to provide a safe space for parents to meet and share experiences.
These groups also provide a play space for any younger children who may have an additional need.
Parents are welcome to bring along younger children to both support groups, however these sessions will be focused on SEN.
In our New Charlton street family hub we will have a play area for under 6s along with a craft activity. In our Galafield session we have a soft play available for the duration of the group.
Both sessions are run by experienced family practitioners and partners, they will be available to offer support and guidance, before, during and after any diagnosis.
