Class 14's Trip to Butterfly World

Class 14 have been learning all about ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ in class. We have had a great time learning what the caterpillar ate and how it built itself a cocoon and then turned into a butterfly. To help our understanding of the story, we went to butterfly world to see the actual butterfly in real life! We enjoyed watching them fly around, observed the cocoons they made for themselves and one pupil even tried to catch one!

We also had fun exploring the other animals there including the big fishes and the meerkats. After butterfly world we had a lovely play on the park. Two pupils were very brave and climbed to the top of the giant climbing frame and another two pupils had a great time making noises in the echoing slide. A lovely day out!
