Finding the Age of Trees

As part of Class 24's Outdoor Learning, the pupils used string to measure the circumference of a tree, then measured the string, and divided the number by 2.5 (the average growth per year). The pupils had fun finding out that some of the trees in Jesmond Dene were over a century old.
