Class 27 Really Enjoyed Den Building in the Woods

As part of Forest School and topic lessons, Class 27 have been learning about rainforests, different climates and the different kinds of houses we may find in the UK and other countries. We have been making houses in class using paper and card and learning how to reinforce the structure with corrugated cardboard so that they can stand unsupported. We have talked about why they are stronger and about how weather conditions would affect our houses differently. We then went out into the woodland to create a shelter that would protect us from the wind. We used stronger sticks to make a base and then added smaller fallen branches, twigs and leaves and add support and to block the wind. We then all had fun trying to fit inside our den.
