Newcastle City Council and partners have created a new careers event, "My Future: My Choice", to support the young people of Newcastle to make informed vocational choices. This new event will showcase the fantastic opportunities available within the city for all ability groups and will give young people equal opportunity to access employers, training providers and support organisations.

The My Future: My Choice careers fair will take place on Wednesday 15th February 2023 at St James' Park Stadium. Year 9, Year 11, sixth formers, college students and their parents are all invited to attend. The event will feature stall holders and speakers covering general and sector specific options. This will include the city’s colleges and universities, and employers from a variety of sectors including green renewable, public services, hospitality, engineering and more.

This event will also have a dedicated zone for young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) with a host of organisations attending and offering practical and interactive activities and presentations to advise and support young people and their families when preparing for adulthood.

Attendance for students within Thomas Bewick School who have expressed an interest will be completed via our careers lead Stewart Fraser. For any parents or carers wishing to attend alongside their students, please see the Newcastle Careers website here or the below QR code for the booking form for the 3:30pm - 6:30pm session. Please contact the school if you have any queries.
